Facing this time of need for all, it is the children living in marginalized urban neighborhoods who suffer disproportionately. Despite our best efforts this year, we have witnessed EVkids forced to change schools, turn down scholarships, and weather extraordinary family situations ranging from emotional trauma to stress-induced abuse to homelessness.
To meet these rising needs at a critical time, EV has adopted a strategic plan to expand our capacity and impact. Led by our active Board and a newly-recruited Executive Director, EV is expanding our programs and partnerships. We plan to add EVcorps volunteers from Boston College in Fall 2011.
Consider a recurring monthly donation to further reduce our administrative costs and support our plans to reach more children in need. As a volunteer-based organization, EV leverages every donated dollar to provide meaningful long-term support to the children we serve and to the volunteers we train.
