Peter Bagley, Executive Director
Peter is a former senior manager at Raytheon, IBM Global Services, Fleet Financial Group, and ADP. Peter was also the Founder & President of a Catholic college preparatory high school in Boston and is currently on the faculty at Suffolk University and Babson College. A native of East Boston, Peter has coached hockey for over thirty years at the high school, collegiate, and semi-pro level and is currently an NCAA and ECAC hockey official. Peter brings his passion for education and commitment to helping young people succeed to EV’s unique mentoring model to produce lifelong foundations of opportunity and educational options for our inner-city students.

Lauren Ravello, Program Director
Lauren oversees and administers EV’s afterschool programs. Since joining EV in September 2003, her work, personality and presence have ensured regular attendance at tutoring and each tutor’s commitment to his or her EVkid’s academic and personal growth. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Boston (B.A. in Education, M.Ed.) and an experienced social worker (M.S.W. from Boston College), Lauren enables tutees and their families to access necessary services and enhances family stability and support through advice and intervention. When not getting EVkids to tutoring and working with EV families, Lauren enjoys mothering her two beautiful children.

Nancy Jiménez, Education Advocate
Nancy works with EVkids, parents, teachers, and school administrators to ensure open and continuing communication in support of the substantive progress of each EVkid.  Nancy meets with every teacher of each child multiple times throughout the year to identify any areas of difficulty or concern, advocates with school administrators, and coordinates educational plans for the tutoring sessions. Nancy also helps to run our summer camps. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College (B.A., English and Sociology).

Marie-Claude Thompson, Founder, Tutor Director and Chaplain at the Harvard Catholic Center, Camp Co-Director
Co-founder and EV’s Executive Director for 29 years, Marie-Claude inspires volunteers and supporters as EV Tutor and Alumni Development Director. In this new role, Marie-Claude works with student leaders at Harvard and, as a chaplain at the Harvard Catholic Center, guides EVtutors in their personal journeys of faith and volunteer social service. She also maintains contacts and relations with the generations of EVtutors who have gone on to professional, academic and political careers and enriching lives serving families and communities. She holds a business degree from Paris, an M.A. from Harvard University, and an M.Div. from the Weston School of Theology. When not stewarding the “EV family,” Marie-Claude enjoys gardening, teaching her four grandchildren French and catechism, and visiting with siblings and friends in France.

Brian Thompson, Communications and Camp Co-Director, Facilities Manager
Co-founder and for 29 years the President of the EVboard, Brian continues to help inner city adolescents and teens discover new sources of strength in co-directing our summer camps, managing our properties, and helping with communications. Professor of French emeritus at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, Brian holds three Harvard degrees and has twice been knighted by the French Government for his contributions to French culture. Brian is President of the American Association of Teachers of French for Eastern Massachusetts, producer of a 24/7 webcast, “L’Air du temps” (wumb.org), co-producer and co-host of the weekly radio show, “French Toast” (wmbr.org). Brian also plays guitar and leads the singing every night at EVcamp.
